Kidz2gether is a registered charity for the Bolton area specialising in support for autism and autistic spectrum disorders.
From our base in the Horwich Resource Centre our aim is to provide support to children and young people between the ages of 5 & 16, within mainstream education, who suffer from the social and communication difficulties caused by autism and autistic spectrum disorders and introduce them into inclusive social settings.
Bolton Kidz2gether also support the families and carers of these children and young people, and the wider community.

Autism is a lifelong developmental disability. People with autism often have difficulty with language and communication and with forming social relationships. They find it difficult to play or use their imagination and their motor and co-ordination skills may be affected.
It is sometimes referred to as 'autism spectrum disorder' or ASD. It is more common in boys than girls and affects people in different ways - some are able to live relatively 'everyday' lives - while others will require a lifetime of specialist support.

Manchester 10K
This year's 10K took place on 16th May and we had 37 runners! Thank you for pounding the streets on our behalf.
Many thanks to our good friend Gareth Robinson for inviting us. Congratulations to the three winning players (Kevin Davies, Chung-Yong Lee and Fabrice Muamba) also to our three award givers, Olivia, Josh and Tom.
AHDC awarded K2g a capital grant making the purchase of a wide range of camping equipment possible. We'll be trying out our new tent and gadgets during our first ever residential trip very soon. The equipment is also available to families of children with disabilities in the Bolton area to hire - and in this way we hope to be able to provide affordable holidays.

In order to continue providing a high quality service as well as developing the organisation, we need voluntary donations and support from the public.
In return we produce a quarterly newsletter to keep our friends up to date with what’s going on, what’s coming up and exactly how their contributions are being used. New friends are always welcome and if you would like more information please contact us.
